The FOLD+RºLL is the brainchild of longtime commuter and sustainable transport advisor Beate (pronounced bay-otta) Kubitz.
“After I used to cycle to work, I struggled with protecting tabs on my garments,” Beate says. “There was a couple of incident of reaching into my bag for my laptop computer and flinging my knickers throughout the workplace. That’s what prompted me to develop the Fold+Rºll.
“And, as a result of I imagine that the influence of any new factor must be thought by means of from cradle to grave, I spent a very long time making an attempt to create the best, most minimal design and sourcing low-impact supplies to make it actually sustainable.”
It’s one piece and totally self-contained – no Velcro to snag your garments, or straps to lose or come unfastened. There’s no plastic on it, it’s produced from natural cotton, and made by a social enterprise in France.
